Brit runs a hell of a tight ship. Managing the flagship location of Synesthesia, a soulless shopping oasis on the outskirts of Marfa, TX, is not for a faint of heart - it requires nerves of steel, and an unabashed embrace of capitalist values that distances you from your work family. When Matthew McConaughey's Pride month brand deal prompts an in-store photo opp with the company's founder, an emergency overnight shift is called to organize the store. As the midnight minutes tick by, tensions between coworkers build, coyotes encroach upon the store, and an associate's dead body decomposes in the emergency stairwell. Synesthesia explores the question - can you be a good person and a company man? What does a business like Synesthesia owe to its employees, and what do those employees owe to each other? And what the fuck is a conversion rate?

Somewhere between heaven and hell, there is an immigration office in front of a black lagoon. I Hope This Letter Reaches Mictlán follows a young woman, Sarai, grieving the death of her twin brother, Saul. Desperate to see him again, she risks everything to transcend to the Aztec underworld of Mictlán. But the rules of Mictlán are firm: no intervening from the living. Nothing, not even death, can stop Sarai. A supernatural, indigenous, ensemble story about how to say goodbye.

child is soon transformed, socially and culturally, into a caucasian woman, until years later, when the child
returns, and her presence becomes the catalyst for the whole family’s unraveling.
