Wes Zurick with Connor O'Sullivan, Shashank Raman, & Davey Thatcher Maglione

The Makers' Space, 117 Grattan St. Studio 120, Brooklyn

Wes Zurick and Connor O'Sullivan met as literal babies, got their first guitars at age 9 and will keep playing songs til they fucking die. Witness the gravitas of a folk duo with a life-long connection. Some originals, some Irish songs, some covers. Shashank Raman a composer and performer specializing in South Asian Fusion & musical theatre! Durra misses Guangzhou where he grew up, fell in love, spoke and yell-sang in Cantonese every day, and met his first collaborator SiuKwong Chan. This is a presentation of Durra and SiuKwong's vault songs from at least 10 years ago, and everything will be in Cantonese. It's only 30 minutes, you'll be fine. “lost letters” by Davey Thatcher Maglione is an experiment of sung and spoken language, inspired by the correspondence between RMRilke and a young poet. The emotional influence of music and nature informs Davey’s storytelling, along with the power of queerness, ancestry, and the present moment.
